Coaching Services

Our coaching program is designed in a manner that facilitates quick progress through the publication process. In the standard coaching scenario, you will only begin the program when you have a completed manuscript ready for publication. In this situation, as long as you’re committed to meeting our set milestones, you can feasibly go from having only a manuscript in hand to having a physical copy of your book in hand in four to six weeks.

Once you have decided you want to invest in coaching services, you will need to finish your manuscript first. We will not begin your coaching process until your manuscript is in hand and ready to go.

When you are ready to begin, the first thing we will do is schedule your four appointments. A typical coaching arrangement means that we will have one 1-hour coaching session per week for four weeks. If you decide you want to go faster, we can schedule more than one appointment per week, but the most comfortable speed is typically spreading the appointments out over four weeks. What this means is that you can feasibly finish the four week program in two weeks with two appointments per week, or all in one week with four appointments that week. The speed we move is really up to you and how much of your “homework” you get done between sessions.

We will have our appointments on the phone. At each appointment, we will go through a specific checklist of items that I have prepared. Since I have been through the process multiple times myself, I am well acquainted with what has to be done at what stage of the process. I will give you the steps in “chunks” so that you can then hang up from your session and go complete those steps during the rest of that week. Some of the steps require time in between, which is why it works better to spread out your coaching sessions over a period of several weeks instead of trying to cram everything into one week. For some of the steps, we will have to wait until the service we are using has completed their side of the process. Fortunately, the turnaround time is typically very quick. Additionally, the customer service provided by the company we will use to create your finished book is very good.

At the end of the process, you will have the option to extend your coaching time if you need extra help or if you want a refresher on some of the steps. While coaching is a big investment on your part, the beauty of it is that you pay for coaching one time and you go through the complete process. Then, once you have been through it one time with a coach, you are prepared to repeat the process with all of your subsequent books without the need of a coach. Of course, if you really enjoy someone walking with you through the process, I will be more than willing to set up coaching appointments for your other books at a discounted rate.

A 4-session Coaching Service package is $1000. It can be paid all upfront or $250 per session. Please note your preference in your application.

Sometimes, people want to try to do something themselves but once they get into the process, it seems overwhelming. If this happens to you, you have the option of converting your Coaching Service into the Complete Publishing Package. The fees that you’ve already paid for coaching will be applied to the cost of the publishing package, and you can then pay the difference between the two. At that point, Spiritfire Publishing will take over the publication process and complete your book for you.
